Yes, with engineered plans and a permit. An engineer sizes the beam and specifies the bearing points, then we install temporary shoring, set the beam, and pass structural inspection.
A level five adds a thin skim coat over the entire surface. It is worth the cost on walls under glossy paint or strong side lighting, where taped joints would otherwise show as shadows.
In most cases, yes. Knockdown and orange peel match reliably. Older popcorn ceilings are harder to blend, and we usually recommend redoing the full ceiling plane instead of spot-patching.
Sanding creates fine dust. We seal doorways with plastic, mask HVAC returns, and use vacuum-assisted sanding where practical, then clean the area at the end of each day.
Yes — but the leak has to be fixed and the cavity dried first. We can handle both, cutting out affected board, verifying the framing is dry, then rebuilding and texture-matching.
