Accessibility Statement
STRUXA Construction & Development, LLC is committed to making struxafl.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. This statement describes what we do, what we know is imperfect, and how to reach a person if something blocks you.
1. Standard we work toward
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Conformance is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification: we review accessibility whenever we add or change pages on this site.
2. What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order
- Full keyboard operability for navigation, menus, filters, forms, and modal dialogs, including Escape to close
- A visible gold focus outline on every interactive element
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with real labels, clear error messages, and aria-invalid state on the field that needs attention
- Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast against our dark background
- Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting: our reveal, parallax, and line-drawing animations are reduced or disabled when your system requests it
- Text that reflows and remains readable at 200 percent zoom and on small screens
- Accessible names on buttons and links so their purpose is clear out of context
3. Known limitations
We are honest about what is not perfect. Currently:
- Our hero background video is decorative, muted, and looping; it carries no information, but it may still be distracting for some visitors. Enabling reduced motion in your operating system stops the site's motion effects.
- Third-party services we rely on — web font delivery and form processing — are outside our direct control, and their behavior may vary.
- Documents we send by email, such as estimates or certificates, may be PDFs that are not fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the same content as plain text or in a call.
4. Assistive technology and browsers
We test with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with the screen readers built into macOS, iOS, and Windows. Older browsers may render the site with reduced visual polish but should keep all content and forms usable.
5. Alternatives to using this website
You never have to use this website to work with us. If any part of it is difficult for you, call (407) 444-1653 and we will take your project information over the phone, read an estimate to you, or send information in whatever format works best for you. There is no disadvantage to requesting an estimate by phone instead of by form.
6. Reporting a barrier
If you encounter something on this site that you cannot use, tell us and we will fix it. Email info@struxafl.com or call (407) 444-1653 with:
- The page address where the problem occurred
- What you were trying to do
- The browser, device, and assistive technology you were using, if you know
We acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and give you a plan and timeline for the fix. Urgent barriers that prevent you from requesting service are addressed immediately by phone in the meantime.
7. Ongoing review
We review this statement and re-check the site whenever we publish new pages or make significant design changes, and at minimum once a year. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.
